Spring low, snow high
Posted by Patrick - 11:51 on 18 March 2010
This is a great time of year. It is Spring-like lower down but there is still snow up top and it is wintry.
I saw my first oystercatcher of the year in the back field last Saturday. The lapwings and herons are back too. Interestingly I saw a young eagle near here yesterday, the first in a long time.
Snowdrops are out and tops of the daffs are just appearing as well.
But the great thing is it is still winter in the mountains, there is still a lot of snow about, so still the opportunity to do winter activities.
Enjoy, Patrick.
