An exhilarating 2 days introduction to winter mountaineering. You will learn how to the use of crampons and ice axes, navigational skills for winter conditions and gain an understanding of avalanche risk. This course will assist you to become independent in winter conditions.

Winter Wonderland – 4 day holiday
21st-24th January, 2010
11th-14th February, 2010
At times you could be forgiven for believing you are in the Arctic when you come on our Winter Wonderland holiday. We will take you to parts of the Cairngorms or the Monadhliath that are covered with sparkling snow and ice. We will watch ptarmigan, snow bunting and deer, whilst learning basic winter walking skills and becoming aware of avalanche risk. Share your experiences at night over traditional Highland food and a dram or two. This is a chance for Abby and Patrick to share the spectacular scenery with you and is not a winter skills course. This holiday will be designed to suit the group and weather conditions.
